14 karat yellow gold mabe pearl and ruby locket.  Bezel set in the center of this oval fluted locket is one round mabe pearl measuring approximately 14.00mm in diameter.  The pearl is considered to have a bluish-white body color with blue and rose overtones.  Surrounding the pearl are 24 rose cut rubies measuring approximately 1.00mm each.  The locket has a locking clasp on the side.  Photographs are then glued onto the gold inside the locket.  There is no frame or insertion rim to hold the photo's in place...it does not appear that there ever was.  It looks as if the locket was designed to have photos or engravings directly on the inside gold area.
