Did you know that the sunburst brooch was one of Jacqueline Kennedy's favorite pieces of jewelry?  In particular it was a diamond sunburst pin that she discovered in an upscale antique jewelry shop in London.  One of Jackie's favorite periods of history was King Louis XiV of France (otherwise known as the Sun King).  The sunburst was the personal symbol of King Louis XiV of France and that is why Jackie was so attracted to the design!



Metal:  14 Karat Yellow Gold

Gemstones:  17 Cultured Pearls  1 @ approximately 7.00mm and 16 @ approximately 3.50mm each.

8 round faceted Blue Sapphires measuring approximately 3.00mm each

Gemstone Description:  The pearls are considered to have white body colors with light rose and blue overtones.  The sapphires are considered to be dark blue in hue.

Clasp:  The pin is secured by a locking safety clasp.
